X-Men Origins: Wolverine trailer due early December
According to XMF, the trailer for X-Men Origins: Wolverine should be out by 12 December 2008. For the United States, this will coincide with the release of The Day the Earth Stood Still.
Meanwhile, Hollywood Elsewhere is reporting possible conflict on the set of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It hints that 20th Century Fox's co-Chairman and CEO Tom Rothman may be interfering with the creative vision of director Gavin Hood.
Scott Summers' role in X-Men Origins: Wolverine plot
The news of Scott Summers' character having a cameo in X-Men Origins: Wolverine has stirred continuity disapproval from fans of the X-Men film series. Some think 20th Century Fox are damaging the movie's potential reputability, with an unnecessary attempt to maximise cameos for mainstream appeal. Others recognise that they could be preparing audiences for a young Cyke lead in other spin offs movies (see Tim Pocock as Cyclops in X-Men: First Class?).
The film is set approximately 17 years prior to the X-Men film, when Wolverine and Cyclops appeared to met for the first time. So there has been lots of speculation on how Tim's character will fit into the movie. Some possibilities are:
* There will be a tie in with Stryker bringing his son to Professor X
* Scott is actually someone else who has used shapeshifting/metamorphosis to appear as Cyclops
* Scott has his memory wiped after an encounter with Wolverine
* Scott is blindfolded during an encounter with Wolverine
* Scott appears in a premonition or dream sequence
* Scott will bump into Wolverine incidentally, such as at a grocery store
* Wolverine will see Scott on TV with Professor X
* At some point in the movie there will be a character montage
* There will be a tie in with Gambit or Mr Sinister or Sabertooth sub-plots
* Wolverine and Scott are subject to experiments by the same scientists
What possibility has the most likelihood? We hope to receive a confirmation soon.
Update #1: Wolverine and Silver Fox may rescue Cyclops from captivity in Stryker's prison, while he is blindfolded. According to Wikipedia, this was confirmed in the January 2009 edition of Empire Magazine.
'Get Right Back' by Raen music video
Back in 2006, Tim Pocock was in a music video for 'Get Right Back' by Australian girl group Raen. He's only in it for a split-second, so if you blink you'll literally miss it. Look out for an orange T-Shirt around the 1:45 minute mark.
Raen are best known for their single 'Drama Fanatic' and are performing at gay club Midnight Shift in Sydney this weekend.

Tim Pocock as Cyclops in X-Men: First Class?
Possibly a reason why young Scott Summers is appearing in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is to to prepare audiences for a bigger role in X-Men: First Class. Likewise, 20th Century Fox may be trying to attract to the box office fans that complained Cyclops' character was unjustifiably limited in the X-Men trilogy.
Is there hope for Tim Pocock to be cast as a young Cyclops in X-Men: First Class? Since Tim Pocock's role is only a cameo in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, 20th Century Fox may be using it as a low risk way to test his potential.
We all know he looks the part perfectly!
Update #1: Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that X-Men: First Class will focus on a young set of mutants. They also hint that the focus could be on certain characters like Cyclops or some of the other students attending the mutant school. Josh Schwartz, creator of Gossip Girl and The O.C., is in negotiations to write the flick.

If you had to pick one well-known Hollywood actor with a resemblance to Tim Pocock, who would it be? Don't be lazy and pick James Marsden. We pick Tim as a Greg Germann (Friends with Money, Ally McBeal) 30 years ago, or are we way off?
